Scott Ream, President, Virtual Corporation
and
Skip Skivington, MBA, CBCP, National Director,
Kaiser Permanente
Virtual Corporation, a consulting company
that specializes in assisting organizations implementing sustainable business
continuity (BC) programs, was granted the NJ Chapter “2004 Project of the
Year” award. Virtual Corporation leveraged its proven business continuity
methodologies and project management expertise to meet and exceed Kaiser
Permanente’s BC/DR plans. Kaiser Permanente is the largest health
maintenance organization (HMO) in the United States. Kaiser undertook
the largest enterprise-wide business continuity program in the United States.
The presentation will address the status of the program, as well as examples
of plans that had to be activated during real disasters.
Scott Ream founded Virtual Corporation
in 1994 specifically to assist large, geographically dispersed organizations
with implementation of appropriately scaled, sustainable business continuity
programs. Mr. Ream is currently serving as a member of the Editorial
Advisory Board for Contingency Planning & Management Magazine.
Skip Skivington is the national director
for healthcare continuity management for Kaiser Permanente, based in Oakland,
California. Skip is a Certified Business Continuity Professional
and holds an MBA and a BS in Business Administration.

Jason Huang
Jason is a project leader within the Corporate
IT organization at Honeywell International's global headquarters in Morristown,
NJ. He leads software evaluation, selection, development, and implementation
projects for the Law & Government Relations Dept. and Health, Safety,
Environment & Remediation Dept. Prior to joining Honeywell in
2002, Jason held several software development and project management positions
with E-Steel Corporation (now NewViewTechnologies) and Music.com, Inc.
Jason is a graduate of the Executive Masters
of Technology Management program at the Howe School of Technology Management
of Stevens Institute of Technology and a graduate of the College of Arts
& Sciences of Cornell University.

Caroline Zayas
Caroline is a Manager within the New Product/Technology
Deployment Management (PDM) organization at Verizon located in Madison,
NJ. She leads a team whose responsibilities include PDM (Stage Gate)
Administration, Front End innovation process management, and Network Operations
PDM product integration focusing on Fast Packet and Broadband technologies.
Caroline joined Verizon in 1997, as a Data Services Network Technician
and has since held various management positions in Data Services Network
Operations, National Services, and Network Services Group Organizations.
Caroline is a graduate of the Executive
Masters of Technology Management program at the Howe School of Technology
Management of Stevens Institute of Technology and a graduate of the College
of Arts & Sciences of Susquehanna University.

Ron Nevo
Ron is a Product Planning and Marketing
manager within the corporate organization at Sharp Electronics USA headquarters
in Mahwah, NJ. He is managing the planning and marketing of security
& software applications for the copier- MFP products from needs to
successful release. Prior to joining Sharp in 2003, Ron held several
Product / Program Management positions with Tyco Electronics in the fiber
optic division. Ron was transferred from Orpak - Israel in 1995 to RNI
NJ to manage the engineering department for fleet management applications.
Ron is a graduate of the Executive Masters
of Technology Management Program at the Howe School of Technology Management
of Stevens Institute of Technology and a graduate of the engineering school
of Tel-Aviv university –Israel.

Aaron Whitney
Aaron is a Team Leader within the Data
Services Network Operations Center at Verizon located in Madison, NJ.
He leads a team whose responsibilities include Surveillance and Maintenance
of Verizon’s National Data Services Network. His team is responsible
for securing the health and stability of the Verizon network that serves
fast packet technologies. He is holds additional project management
responsibilities focused on Data Services Network Upgrades and Data Services
Platform Succession Planning
Aaron is a graduate of the Executive Masters
of Technology Management program at the Howe School of Technology Management
of Stevens Institute of Technology and a graduate of James Madison University.
