Never before in the annals of modern project
management history has an opportunity arisen that represents such a significant
shift in how we conduct business in our global village then eBusiness.
All the norms and barriers to the business will, in the not too distant
future, be discarded or replaced at speeds that will boggle the mind. Those
businesses that recognize this shift will have a distinct advantage, but
recognition alone will not guarantee their survival. The intent is to bring
e-business to the forefront of project and program managers alike and develop
a medium to share knowledge and wisdom about the art and science of e-business
developed through PMI.

The PMI® Healthcare SIG is made up
of healthcare and project management professionals who share the unique
challenges of working in the dynamic healthcare arena. Not only is it a
$2.6 trillion (and growing) sector in the United States alone, healthcare
is quite personal, it affects each and every one of us.
We believe we have a wonderful opportunity
to make a positive impact on healthcare as practitioners from industry,
government, non-profits, educational institutions, and other public entities.
As professionals at the forefront of implementing new technology, practices,
and policies within our organizations we are the agents for change.
