The Collaboration Bus Project by The Incredibles
(Rajan Anand, Darren Birmingham, Alan
Bader, and Biren Desai)
The Incredibles (Rajan Anand, Darren Birmingham,
Alan Bader, and Biren Desai) from the Stevens Institute of Technology class
on Project Management and Leadership are winners of the New Jersey Chapter
of PMI’s Student Project of the Year award. They will present their
paper on The Collaboration Bus Project. This class was taught by
Dr. Aaron Shenhar, highly recognized within the project management profession
and a strong supporter of our chapter.
The goal of The Collaboration Bus Project
is to develop rule based software drive infrastructure that allows users
to dynamically program the telecommunications system via a simple web interface
to meet such needs as reducing mean time for recovery for network tickets,
on demand notification of network troubles, higher level of system automation,
generic system for event filtering and task configuration, seamless collaboration
between various entities, and honoring requests from external customers.
These needs must be conveyed in a well defined unit called user rules that
can be enabled or disabled at will. The web interface with all the
required functionality needs to be completed within 18 months. Hear
how The Incredibles plan to initiate, execute, and track the success of
this project.
