Tom Mattus, President, Successful
Strategies International
Studies have shown that many projects
never start on the right foot or come to a screeching halt due to budgetary
constraints, unclear objectives and technical issues, all items that can
be avoided if properly planned from the start. This talk will show how
to manage a successful project - one that comes in on time and on budget
and up to management's expectations. During this session, Mr. Mattus reviewed
how different organizations measure success and failure of projects, identified
the #1 cause for project failure, discussed project management paradoxes
as well as identified project management components known to fail (goals,
technical, teams, scope, etc.). This presentation also discussed the importance
of the project manager in any project, identified training needs to ensure
projects are successful and ways companies can use people/HR abilities
to get results.
