Description:
In today's tough
economic times, attaining your PMP certification is more important than
ever. Make sure you are prepared by enrolling in our PMP Prep Class
which is compatible with PMBOK Fourth Edition and changed for the new test
effective 01 September 2011. The class will be held on three Saturdays.
PMINJ has partnered with Velociteach
to provide added value to our students. Although still taught by PMINJ's
team of experienced instructors, each student will also receive:
- A copy of the study
guide by Andy Crowe, entitled, "THe PMP Exam: How to Pass on Your
First Try"
- A workbook containing
a copy of all presentation slides
- Additional practice
tests
- 3 months of free access
to "InSite" - Velociteach's proprietary study aid with unlimited practice
tests
- A laminated, tri-fold
quick-reference card study aid
Be sure you are thoroughly
prepared for the PMP certification exam by registering for the NJ Chapter's
highly recommended PMP Exam Review Class. You will earn 20
training hours which can be used towards the 35 hour requirement for PMP
exam eligibility. If you need additional training hours to fulfill
the requirement, see the list of Registered Education Providers at http://www.pmi.org/CareerDevelopment/Pages/Find-a-Registered-Education-Provider.aspx.
The PMI New Jersey Chapter
PMP Examination Preparation Course (PMP Prep) provides attendees with the
information that will help them pass the PMI PMP Examination. PMP
Prep is an overview of project management as outlined in PMI's "A Guide
to the Project Management Body of Knowledge - Fourth Edition".
PMI uses specific definitions
and interpretations that, while correct, are not used by all companies.
The course relates such definitions to other usages of the terminology
so that students know PMI definitions and how they relate to their understanding.
Typically when people fail an Exam section, it is often in an area they
know. Thus, it is important to focus one's studies on PMI's expectations.
Note:
The
class is intended for those individuals who have done nearly all of their
preparation for the PMP Exam. It is a high-level comprehensive review
of all the PMBOK knowledge areas to get you focused before the exam and
it is expected that students already understand the basics of all the knowledge
areas.
You will earn 20 hours
towards the 35 required hours of training for PMP eligibility.
Schedule:
The following
schedule provides the start and end times for the days. Each day
will have a 1 hour lunch break. The schedule of topics may change due
to availability of instructors. The program is taught by a team of
experienced instructors, each presenting modules in their field of expertise.
