Abstract

Implementing Enterprise PM in the Pharmaceutical Arena 

Pharmaceutical Companies are embracing Project Management techniques in ever-increasing numbers.  Their goals are to shorten time to market and manage critical resources.  Mr. Japka related his experiences in an environment not accustomed to PM.  He reviewed the obsticales faced and present a five step process used for successful implementation.  He also presented a complete computerized drug development model from discovery to product launch.  This included the Enterprise Project Structure, project Work Breakdown Structure, and detailed activities.  Issues related to schedule creation, maintenance, and reporting were also discussed.

Bio:

Jonathan Japka, PMP, is Manager of Implementation Services at Robert Andrew Associates.  He has over 20 years of PM experience.  As a consultant he has assisted over 150 local, national, and international companies successfully implement PM processes and configure computerized PM systems.  He is both a PMI Delaware Valley Chapter Approved Instructor and an Authorized Primavera Systems Instructor.

Accruing PDUs for Re-Certification 

Nikki Stein , PMP, presented ways to earn PDU's.  Nikki has recently completed the recertification process and her presentation covered the numerous ways to earn PDUs.
