Abstract

You’ve taken the courses, you’ve read the books, and you feel pretty comfortable with the theory of risk management. But is it really being successfully used in your organization? Are you still getting blindsided by unforeseen events resulting in “fire-fighting,” overtime, and cost overruns? This program offered you some practical tips for making risk management an inherent part of your project activities.   Ava is a natural at communication and demonstrated the value of communication for risk identification.

Ava Heuer is a Project Manager with 25 years experience in the defense industry and telecommunications arena. After a long career at Lucent Technologies, she now manages the OEM projects for WatchMark Corporation. For the past 3 years, Ava has been the Vice President of Professional Development for PMI NJ Chapter, and is dedicated to promoting project management best practices throughout the industry. She is a certified PMP and holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from NJIT.
