Abstract

Bio

Projects have a dismal success rates, but PMs can dramatically increase their batting average by applying Strategic Project Management principles. This stimulating workshop introduces the Logical Framework Approach, which combines a step-by-step process with an integrated thinking tool that offers a robust strategic road-map for designing projects, programs, and action initiatives of all types.  Proven in diverse settings, this emerging best practice approach is ideal for rapidly building consensus at the “fuzzy front end” and offers unique benefits during the PMBOK Planning and Initiation stages.

The Logical Framework Approach closes the gap between Strategic Planning and Project Management. You'll learn how to formulate a “strategic hypothesis” which considers all the key elements needed for success, including those often overlooked. You’ll discover ways to plan projects that logically link project deliverables to strategic intent using principles drawn from the scientific method.

You’ll learn how to use the “LogFrame” to simultaneously create actionable plans while building strong project teams. During this interactive session, you’ll become skilled in applying the core concepts, and leave with a practical strategic approach that will give you the edge in delivering tangible business results
