Strategic Business Execution is an emerging field that focuses on getting “big and complex” things done in today’s fast paced environment. The basic premise is simple: having good strategies are simply not enough; good execution is required to achieve real and tangible benefits. For example, in a recent study by The Economist surveying C-level executives of world-class organizations, 88% of executives say executing strategic initiatives successfully will be essential or very important for their organizations’ competitiveness; yet 61% acknowledge their firms struggle to bridge the gap between strategy and implementation.
