Abstract

Take a first-hand look behind the scenes look at how a certification is created.  Our presenter spent nearly two years on the Steering Committee for Requirements Management.  The results of Requirements Management related initiatives include: a new certification for Professional Business Analysis, a new Practice Guide for Requirements Management, a new Practice Guide for Business Analysis, and online communities including a collective Requirements Management Center of Excellence.  Come hear about the rigor and discipline that comes to bear with this new certification, how the PBA was born, some of the roadblocks and tough decisions, and the outcome.  Understand the process that was undertaken for the PBA certification, what you need to do if you wish to obtain this designation, and also the many ways you can get involved.
