Bio:
Randy Shumpert (MBA, PMP, PMI-ACP, SPC, CSP, CSM, RTE)
is an accomplished Agile and Waterfall Project Management
Executive and SAFe Program Consultant with a solid history
of leadership and proven results. Randy was introduced to
Agile after many years as an IT Executive. Leveraging Agile
methods Randy co-founded DRMetrix, and designed and
developed the premier marketing business intelligence and
patented direct response recognition technology that detects
each time a spot or infomercial airs.
After a few years of Agile experience in an advertising firm
Randy was recruited into ADP where he was an early adopter
of SAFe and Coach to more than 80 professionals. He also
worked in ADP's Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE).
Randy then joined a consulting firm where he introduced and
led a SAFe transformation including training his consulting
firm and the clients. While at the consulting firm, for the
past five years Randy has been the lead SAFe Instructor at
BTII Institute helping professionals advance and transition
their careers by teaching more than seven different
certification-based SAFe courses. Randy is currently a SAFe
Program Consultant and instructor at BTII Institute.

search require time, practice and refinement in order to be
at one’s best. This presentation will provide some thought
on the skills and strategies you need to consider building
to achieving the next steps in your career. Next steps might
include a position similar to your current one, or they
could involve a change or realignment with activities that
are most meaningful to you. This all depends upon many
factors. Important factors in your transition might include
your own personal goals, values and wishes, the needs of
your family, your age and stage in life, your finances, the
job market and economy, and the needs of employers, to name
just a few. In this presentation, we will focus a great deal
on some of the tools, processes and methods that go into
career decision making as well as strategies for
communicating your unique value to potential employers and
networking contacts.
This presentation will help you to build your knowledge of
the job search and career development process, provide some
tips for organizing your ideas, and provide a foundation for
successful career development.
