Bio:
Dave Davis, PMP, PgMP, PBA, ACP is a practitioner of project and program management and a recognized professional in the field of Project and Program Management. With over 30 years experience as a manager, project manager, program manager, and business analyst.  Dave holds 3 master’s degrees including an MBA and eBusiness Project Management Masters. He has published many articles and delivered presentations throughout the world; including the PMI Pulse of the Profession and the Benefits Framework. Lynn DeHart is a Digital & Technology Senior Director at Pfizer with over 10+ years of experience in the Healthcare Industry.  Lynn has led large scale projects ranging in value from $3-$20M including a company acquisition to integrate critical SOX and regulatory compliant systems. She also manages a team of twelve colleagues and 15+ contractors.  
Lynn is a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt and Project Management Professional (PMP).  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems Management from The College of New Jersey.  In addition, she holds a Master’s in Information Systems and a Masters of Business Administration from The Stevens Institute of Technology.

Richard Eng

Bio:
Richard F. Eng is Co-Department Head of Applied Software Engineering.  He is a multidisciplinary engineer/scientist applying his data science, reliability engineering, and quality engineering skills to deliver software projects.  Richard was the principal investigator for a research effort to apply machine learning techniques to predict software project outcomes.  He applies data science to healthcare projects.  Richard is an adjunct professor in the Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at Monmouth University.  He teaches and speaks on data science and software engineering topics. Richard earned a bachelor’s in chemistry and a master’s in bio-engineering from NYU (Polytechnic). He earned his MBA in international business from Georgetown University and a master’s in data analytics from University of Maryland University College. Richard is a member of the IEEE and ACS and a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).  He is an ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer, Certified Software Quality Engineer, and Certified Quality Engineer.  Richard is a certified SAFe Agilist.

Abstract:
Machine learning can be used to predict project outcomes (e.g., cost, schedule, success/failure).  This presentation discusses the data analytics and machine learning techniques used to create models to predict software projects outcomes.  Research results and lessons learned indicate that these techniques may be applied to project in other domains.

Uri spent most of his career in senior Management Consulting positions, including Global Partner with the Consulting Firm, Accenture, in South Africa, VP with Oracle Corporation in the USA, and SR. VP with Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) in Canada. In these roles, Uri helped his C-Level clients and their teams develop business strategies and implement complex business projects.

In 2008, Uri shifted from active consulting to mentoring executive coaching, writing and speaking on topics such as Leadership, Organizational Transformation and Personal Development.

Uri earned his MSc in Bio-Medical Engineering and his MBA in South Africa. Uri was certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by PMI. He is also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and was certified as a Corporate Coach.

Deven has more than 20 years of experience managing technology-enabled transformation programs. He has vast experience in traditional as well as agile software development lifecycles (SDLC).  Deven has in-depth knowledge of project, product and portfolio management processes, and helped his clients in various industries to execute mission-critical programs. Deven has provided Agile Scrum and Scaled Agile training and coaching at large corporations and helped kicked-off a number of pilot workstreams in support of Enterprise Agile Transformation. Deven possesses PMP, PMI’s Agile Certified Professional (ACP) and SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certifications.

Deven is currently working at one of the big four consulting firms KPMG as a Director in Technology Enablement - Program Delivery Service Advisory in New Jersey. Before KPMG, he had held Project Control Manager and PMO Director position at government IT consulting firm SAIC Inc for 11 years. The Scaled Agile Framework (abbreviated as SAFe), is a set of organization and workflow patterns intended to guide enterprises in scaling lean and agile practices. Along with large-scale Scrum (LeSS), disciplined agile delivery (DAD), and Nexus, SAFe is one of a growing number of frameworks that seek to address the problems encountered when scaling beyond a single team. SAFe is made freely available by Scaled Agile, Inc., which retains the copyrights and registered trademarks.

In this introductory session to SAFe, attendees will learn basic constructs of SAFe, how to embrace a Lean-Agile Mindset and understand SAFe Principles.

Harumi Urata-Thompson is CEO of HUT Consulting.  She specializes in leading and advising companies on taking innovative paths to achieve strategic, operational and marketing success in their businesses.  Currently, she is consulting to and serving on the board of directors of several companies.  In addition, she acts as mentor to a number of people and speaks at numerous events.  Subjects include Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Cybersecurity, Outerspace, Cross-border Business, and Diversity and Inclusion.  She also recently launched a space data company celestialdata.io.

Prior to starting HUT Consulting, Harumi was the Chief Operating Officer for CFA Society New York (previously New York Society of Security Analysts), a nonprofit affiliate of the CFA Institute with 10,000 financial professionals previously.  As COO, she was responsible for operating all aspects of the organization, and successfully improved its performance through offering better value to its members, instituting significantly better operating processes, developing corporate partnerships, and establishing a new business model for attracting revenues from sponsors.  Before CFA Society New York, Harumi spent 14 years at Thomson Reuters where she held various positions including: Director at the corporate level overseeing innovation and managing a portfolio of mobile products across divisions; Chief of Staff to the CEO of the Healthcare and Science business, where she oversaw all management activities of five business units, including acquisitions, business and product management, and planning for an annual $900M budget covering 4,300 employees; and Product Manager looking after the company’s fixed income business, while launching the most significant product in this division’s history. Harumi began her career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley and Citigroup, working in fixed income sales and mergers & acquisitions.

Harumi has an MBA from INSEAD in France and a BA, magna cum laude, in business from Sophia University in Japan. He recently managed teams delivering Artificial Intelligence (AI) services, cloud infrastructure, cloud databases, security, and networks. He trained AI in a hackathon. Henry created an IoT device which he presented at an IBM conference. He was certified as a coach in IBM. He has worked in industries including video games, medical instrumentation, military avionics, finance, manufacturing, internet voting, mortgage, transportation, communications, insurance, and publishing.
