Abstract

Project management is relevant to all industries, the industry does not typically affect how projects are planned and executed. Healthcare projects (pharmaceutical, medical device, or provider) must consider different factors, especially regulations, as they impact almost all aspects of an organization. This presentation will evaluate some of the ways project management must be adapted to be effective.

Learning Objectives
  • Present project management elements unique to healthcare industries and their impact on how projects are organized and executed
  • Identify skills and methods critical to successful projects in this environment
