Abstract
Many project management classes and examples come from construction, Software Development / IT or home projects. Many of the PM techniques are similar. In the Pharmaceutical Industry, there is a Project Management group that supports drug products. These types of projects are different in nature to the aforementioned project examples. Drug development is under high pressure to delivery quickly, has a high rate of failure, many of the team members speak a unique scientific language, the end state is not predictable, and the scientific space is very difficult to navigate. Additionally, there are many regulations including validation that causes additional tests and time.
