Abstract:
This presentation will prepare Project Managers and Learners for today’s post-COVID contemporary project management. The presentation will focus on neuromanagement, which is the cognitive neuroscience approach to today’s project management. This scientific approach combines Emotional Intelligence (EI) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a technical way that allows project managers to better understand brain-based learning when faced with emotional conflict in project teams.
When a project manager can skillfully stop emotional conflict in the workplace, that skill demonstrates the top abilities today’s employers are seeking. In other words, knowing and demonstrating the Power Skills that are required by PMI and today’s employers.
The EI four (4) Quadrant Goleman Model management tool connects emotional intelligence with leadership in business. According to Goleman, a person can have the best training in the world, an incisive analytical mind, and an endless supply of smart ideas, but he/she still will not make a good team leader without an EI assessment.
Therefore, performing an EI Assessment is a matter of minimizing the risks that are present when managing a diverse group of team members. Not having an EI Assessment, has the potential to unknowingly destroy each “Talent” in the PMI “Talent Triangle” and the potential to destroy any Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) efforts.
Attendees will participate in an interactive Seminar presentation that allows them to draw from research on emotional intelligence, artificial intelligence, social workplace interactions, neuromanagement, and recent legal cases that involve AI projects.
Learning Objectives:
Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Neuromanagement: Learn the 4 Quadrants of EI and how they play a role in the type of good leadership that shows continuous improvement in tasks performed by positive team members. Learn how to apply evidence-based practices and EI skills in neuromanagement.
Business Strategy for Introducing EI into any Soulful Field of Operations: Learn and evaluate the way EI is being used today to be combined with AI as a business strategy that incorporates a “Root Cause” Analysis which addresses behavioral uncertainties within project teams. Research shows when you incorporate an EI Assessment as a management tool that works with the appropriate AI tools, the AI project becomes a successful Win-Win through “Neuromanagement.”
