Abstract
Utilities are often one of the most critical and underestimated factors in the success or failure of construction projects. In New Jersey, where infrastructure density, aging systems, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder complexity intersect, understanding the utility perspective is essential for effective project planning and execution.
In this webinar, the President of the New Jersey Utilities Association (NJUA) will share the utility industry’s viewpoint on construction project delivery, highlighting where project managers most often encounter risk, delay, and cost escalation and how those issues can be mitigated through earlier and more informed coordination. Attendees will gain insight into utility planning cycles, common constraints, regulatory considerations, and best practices for engaging utilities as strategic partners rather than reactive dependencies.
Designed specifically for project managers working across public and private sector projects in New Jersey, this session will provide practical guidance to help anticipate utility impacts, improve collaboration, and drive more predictable project outcomes.
