Description

Our chapter’s Agile Local Community of Interest (LCI) group meets in-person about three times a year prior to the main presentation at our monthly programs.  Some attendees have expressed an interest to extend the discussions that occur at these gatherings.  Furthermore, it is not always convenient or possible for members to attend these occasional monthly meetings. 

Therefore, as Agile encourages experimentation, we are going to pilot a virtual discussion group for three months.  During this time, we will be asking the attendees to provide feedback so we can gauge the interest of our members in participating in these events and make adjustments as necessary.  The discussion group will concentrate on topics regarding agile project management challenges, best practices, and experiences.  This as an additional forum for these discussions to be more accessible to our members.

The group meets on Wednesday during the week after the PMINJ monthly meeting. Each meeting will have a specific topic for discussion.  The meetings will be conducted virtually and will be facilitated by a veteran Agile practitioner(s).  To help foster an engaging experience and get the most benefit out of the discussion group, all attendees are encouraged to actively participate and not just listen and observe.

Many Organizations have started embracing agility in a formal manner. However, the distinction between a Scrum Master and Coach still appears fuzzy to some. What are the competencies expected in each role? Is there a “one size fits all?” How would you pick?

Come learn about a few models of coaching and how it may impact you, your teams or more!

This meeting will be conducted virtually using Zoom.  To participate in this group, you will need the following:

  • Reliable Internet connection.
  • Web camera (self-facing). You are expected to use the camera and make yourself visible during the meeting.
  • Microphone and speakers / earbuds / headphones / headset.
