Sunday, April 28 at the Franklin High School in Somerset, NJ
This is the time of year to support the ride and volunteer to work at the
annual Franklin Food Bank’s fundraiser:
Tour de
Franklin.
PMINJ has been a large part of this support for more than a decade, both through volunteering and through riding in the Tour.
As you doubtless know, the
fundraising need remains
greater than ever. Demand for the Franklin Food Bank's
services continues to be high as families struggle to overcome
the economic effects of the past years. The extra help the Food Bank
provides continues to be needed so that our neighbors don't
have to choose between feeding their families and paying rent.
The staff at the Food Bank have gone above and beyond to meet this need.
Now they need our
help.
The Tour de Franklin consists of seven events including 62, 40, 25, 10, and 5-mile rides through Somerset, and a 10-mile ride and 1-5 mile walk-or-ride along the scenic D&R Canal.
All proceeds raised by the Tour de Franklin directly support the Franklin Food Bank operations as it works to fight hunger in the community. In 2023, the Franklin Food Bank distributed an estimated 2.8 million pounds of food and accommodated approximately 30,000 visits to the Client Choice Market and Drive-Through events.
