May was Military Appreciation Month
It was fitting that during the May 5 PMINJ Annual Symposium we relaunched our Veterans LCI! While several members have raised their hand to get involved, many hands make light work! If you are an active service member, veteran, military connected family member or an Ally / supporter consider joining the Veterans LCI, where we will work to promote project management careers and best practices to the military connected community.
Currently we are working with Lisa Blake and her Monthly Program team for a special, veteran themed Monthly program for November. We are still in the early planning stage and we are interested in volunteers and / or ideas for this program.
We are also in the early stages of planning some other activities, such as a virtual evening program or two. Ideas include promoting programs that support veterans in project management careers, a military leadership / project management speaker series, volunteer activities and / or activities with one or more universities and their student veteran population.
