Happy New Year, PMINJ members and friends! I hope you had a refreshing
holiday. It's a new year and we are off to a fast start!
Here is some big news! Registration for our
39th Annual Symposium on
Monday May 5 is already open!
Entitled "Tomorrow's Trends", it is a
two-track day worth 8 PDUs. Also we have the Sunday Seminar on May 4,
featuring an interactive session with Alan Mallory, who we had the
privilege of hosting a few years back.
Register by February 15 for the
best rate.
This month we have a
joint program with PMINJ and PMI Delaware
Valley.
Members and guests of both Chapters can join for
free. It is presented by David Smyth and is about Green Project
Management, "Regeneration: The Next
Frontier for Sustainability". Be sure to register for the meeting on
Tuesday, January 21.
Check our schedule on the homepage because we also have the Life
Sciences LCI on January 23, the Career Networking LCI on January 15, and
the regular Agile Discussion Group.
Your PMINJ Board met all day on December 7 to plan the year
ahead. Two important inputs are PMI:Next, which includes many great
programs from PMI, some of which you are already experiencing, including
the PMI Infinity and AI programs. There is much more, and we are
working to bring the ideas into our plans. The other is the survey
input we received from roughly 350 of you that shared feedback
with us. We will finish planning in Q1 and will share the plans with
you.
We have been working hard on the re-platformed PMINJ website, and our
Vice Chairs, Technology team, and several dedicated volunteers have been
testing it and making valuable suggestions. You will start to see some
results later this year.
Please think of
volunteering with PMINJ
to be a part of all we do! It's
great how much better we do when we have your contributions. Just go to
the bottom of any webpage, and click Volunteer, and let us know how
you would like to engage!
Please also go to our Diversity Equity and Inclusion page to see
information about the January observances: Celebrate Mentoring (which
we do a great job of at PMINJ); Slavery / Human Trafficking awareness;
and Poverty in America awareness.
There are 5 days to call out, including MLK Jr Day and the start of the
Chinese New Year.
On behalf of the PMINJ Board, have a great January, be well, and we hope
to see you soon!
"Wherever you are... we are there with you!"
